DO THE DEADHEAD
Deadheading is a simple activity that will help you get the most out of your flowering plants, for longer. It isn’t just cosmetic (although it will help them look better). If you leave dead flowers to turn into seeds, your plants will just stop producing new ones.
To do it, it's as simple as pinching or snipping off the dead blooms. If trailing plants like petunias have become straggly, cut the stems back about 15cm to a cluster of healthy leaves. This will encourage new flowering growth from the base of the plant.
Happy deadheading!
