Well drained soil

Most light conditions
He's a good all-rounder who tolerates full sun to full shade, but is particullary happy in part sun, part shade.
Watering
If planted in a pot, make sure you water him regularly in the warmer, summer months - the elements should take care of the rest in the cooler autumn and winter months.
