• About Sansevieria aubrytiana 'Marlowe'

  Sansevierias are made of tough stuff. If you’ve never taken care of a plant before and want an easy start, our snake plants are the ones for you. You’d have to try pretty hard to actually kill them as they thrive on neglect, responding best to the lightest of watering and a range of light from bright to shaded. They’ll appreciate a dose of plant food once per month from spring through to the end of summer, but that's about as much special attention as they need.   Native to countries like Nigeria and the Congo in West Africa where it grows in dry rocky areas, Sansevieria aubrytiana is now grown worldwide as an ornamental houseplant. What makes ‘Marlowe’ unique is its wide, long, upright growing leaves and distinct variegated stripes, ranging from deep to pale green. 

  Did you know?

  The flowers of Sansevieria have a sweet scent and are pollinated by moths, followed by red berries. If you’re lucky enough yours might flower too with time (finger’s crossed).
