About nursery pouch
Using a fabric nursery pot instead of a plastic nursery pot helps your plant grow a healthier and stronger root system and stops the roots from ‘circling’. Most fabric nursery pots allow fine feeder roots to escape through the gaps in the material, a process called air pruning that encourages the plant to send out more feeder roots. Our stylish fabric nursery pots are incredibly clever and work slightly differently. The specially designed weave stops these feeder roots from squeezing through and instead tangles and entraps them. This might sound a bit claustrophobic and uncomfortable, but it actually helps your plant to grow even more roots - creating a dense (and wonderfully fibrous) healthy root system.
There are lots of other ways your plants will benefit from a fabric nursery pot. These pots insulate your plant in winter and keep the roots cool in summer. They also offer excellent drainage, stand up well against UV rays and are great for airflow.
Our fabric nursery pots are carefully designed to reduce environmental impact. Made from recycled materials they can be recycled as textiles, unlike other plastic nursery pots. And don’t forget the supply chain - these pots take up 40% less storage space and need less fuel to ship than plastic pots. Is there anything they can’t do?
To use your fabric nursery pot, just fill it up with soil and add your plant - easy. When watering, let excess water drain off before placing it back into its decorative pot. When it’s time to repot, you can wash and reuse your fabric nursery pot again and again. Our fabric nursery pots come in five sizes.
