Fergus likes moderate light. Try a few metres from a window without direct light.
In spring and summer, bird's nest ferns like moist (not wet) soil. He'll thrive in the humidity of a bright bathroom, or else will appreciate a regular misting.
He doesn't enjoy the cold, so give him a spot away from drafts or very chilly rooms (but not by a radiator).

Fergus' common name, the 'bird's nest fern', sounds a little insulting for such a beauty. The name comes from his dense crown at the centre, from which new leaves grow. In his native East Asia he'll be found growing anywhere there's humidity and dappled light, often in forests or in gaps in the trunks of larger trees.
As an indoor plant, he's slow growing, so no need to worry about him taking over your bathroom. He doesn't have high demands. He likes everything at a moderate level: water, heat, light.
