How three creatives styled our pots

Our favourite thing about our new pots? They can be styled in so many ways. From bold patterns to earthy tones and tactile textures, they bring homes – and plants – to life. To show off their versatility, we asked three creatives to put their twists on our latest designs. Here’s how they styled our pots in their beautiful homes.

Africa, founder of @thevitamindproject, is a freelance Art Director and Creative who lives on the Kent Coast with her family. Describing her style as a “reflection of my faith, culture and heritage,” she has designed a tranquil home packed with character. “When visitors step into our home, they often mention feeling instantly transported to warmer shores,” Africa explains. “Although I usually start with a neutral base, like our limewashed walls, I love introducing washed-out colours through pre-loved treasures.”

To tie in with her home’s earthy tones and calming atmosphere, Africa selected our Earth and Tide pots to bring a subtle hint of colour and tactility to the look. “I adore the rich texture on both, something I’ve found really adds depth to any interior space,” she says. “Both colours are quite striking compared to what we usually have in our home, and so the contrast provides a real conversation starter.”

Blurring the lines between outside and in, Africa has grouped larger pots in the corners of her rooms for maximum impact, while placing smaller styles on shelves and coffee tables, pairing them with our Silvy and Peggy hanging plants for a trailed effect. “Plants don’t need to be the last thing you add to your space. Even in a temporary set-up, they can be the very thing that makes it feel like home instantly,” Africa says,” and these pots from Patch are more than just plant holders – for me, they really do feel like art.”

When Content Creator Mo founded his Instagram account @mo.and.the.jungle.shelf, he named it after the centrepiece of his kitchen, a plant-filled shelf that “was a real showstopper” in the space. Since moving house, his home has been lacking in the greenery he once found so much pride and joy in, and so he decided it was time to revive his account’s namesake in the new space. “I’ve missed the shelf a lot, so with my new additions from Patch I’ve recreated my jungle shelf – a mix of beautiful plants and pots integrated into my kitchen shelves,” he explains.

With a backdrop of cherry red cabinets and checkerboard floors, Mo selected our Chess, Striped and Earth pots to add an extra pop of colour and pattern to the room. “I’m drawn to bold colours and strong patterns, and love experimenting with them in my spaces,” he says, “however, I also appreciate balance, so I contrast bright, bold pieces with plenty of neutrals.”

Pairing his pots with a mix of hanging plants – he chose Rapunzel and Theodore – and more structured plants, such as Susie and Pippa, Mo brought a mix of textures and greenery to the already eclectic look. “I love the bold patterns of the Chess and Striped pots and how they really make a great statement, and of course make the green of the plants really stand out,” he says. “With the Earth pots, I just love the warm tones of the maple colour, and that rustic charm.”

“Classic but edgy” is how Content Creator Rachael from @beetrootandblack describes her style, a look she has brought to life in her Georgian townhouse. Playing on the property’s period features and her love of colour, she has paired classic styles with a contemporary colour palette of khaki and terracotta to create a warm and inviting home.

With cornicing, high ceilings and original fireplaces appealing to the classic side of her style, it falls to furniture and accessories to bring the edgy element to life. Enter our new pots – taking the opportunity to bring a splash of colour and pattern to the space, Rachael selected the Tide, Chess and Striped designs to house her new greenery. “I love the bold designs of all three,” she says of her selection. “They stand out and make a statement.”

To ensure the pots matched the rest of her interiors, she selected styles that reflected her design choices. “I made sure they are in spaces that complement the design of the pots,” she explains. “They are one of the first things you see when entering the room.” Her Brown Striped Pot sits pride of place in her terracotta-hued dining room, while her monochrome Chess Pot adds a punchy pop of pattern to her bathroom.
