Hanging plants are the humble heroes of the houseplant world. They fit in absolutely any home, large or small. Suspend them from a ceiling in a hanging pot, put them on a shelf, or even train them up a wall - there's always somewhere to put them. Even when you've filled absolutely every inch of floor and surface space with greenery, there's still room for hanging plants.

Rapunzel

Our best-selling hanging plant, Rapunzel the devil's ivy is the perfect combination of easy-care and drop dead gorgeous. She can live in almost any light conditions, from bright light to pretty deep shade. And she only needs occasional watering. Everybody loves Rapunzel.

Sophie

Her soft pink leaves are a brilliant way to bring a subtle hit of colour to a room. Like Wallace, Sophie the syngonium neon robusta starts out compact and then becomes a vine if allowed to grow freely. Imagine a cascade of pink leaves in a bright bathroom. It would look amazing.

Kate

If you like a hanging plant with personality, Kate the zigzag cactus is your girl. Give her a spot with lots of light and she'll send out squiggly stems all over the place. She looks good in a pot on a shelf, but she looks even better in a hanging pot. It will let her dangle in all directions.

Silvy

Much like Rapunzel, Silvy the satin pothos will live happily in most conditions. She has stylish silver-spotted leaves that look especially striking against dark-coloured walls. She grows pretty quickly so hang her as high as you like. She'll accept the challenge and eventually reach the floor.

Wallace

As a young plant, Wallace the monstera adansonii is compact and bushy. As he matures, his stems stretch out to become long vines covered in lacy leaves. You could make him into a really cool feature by training him across a wall. You can use adhesive hooks attached to the wall to support his vines.

Peggy

Simple and undemanding, Peggy the ceropegia woodii is perfect for tight spots, on a bookshelf or in a small room. She doesn't need much space and she's pretty undemanding on light levels and water. Those delicate tendrils will just quietly do their thing, adding a little bit of pattern to your room.

Jethro

Jethro the aeschynanthus japhrolepsis is commonly known as the lipstick plant, for two reasons. One, aeschynanthus japhrolepsis is really hard to say, and two, when this plant is really happy it puts out flowers that look like little red lipsticks.

Otto

Otto the hoya provides a hit of spring-like colour all year round. His cute little leaves have a green and cream variegation, and his stems are a pretty light pink. He's a pretty compact plant, so he won't take up much room either. He'd be a great pick for a bathroom as he loves high humidity.
