    • Regular watering

Check the top two inches of Asher’s soil on a weekly basis; she hates to dry out completely.

    • Most light conditions

The colour of Asher’s leaves will be more vibrant the more light she gets. She’ll be happier in shadier positions but her leaves may look pale. Too much direct light and they may scorch.

    • Humidity

Pop Asher in steamier places like the bathroom or kitchen or group her together with other houseplants so they can create their own little microclimate.

  • Aglaonemas grow outside all year round in subtropical Asia and other warm, wet parts of the world. They’ve been in cultivation as ornamental house and garden plants since the late 19th century. ‘Crimson Love’ gets all of our love, because of its brightly coloured, variegated leaves that put on a showy display of speckled green and pink.

Not only is it a joy to look at it but it’s a cinch to care for. It needs little but regular watering and is happy to live in most light conditions. As with most brightly coloured plants, you’ll notice its foliage is brighter if it gets more light.  You'll see even more spectacular growth if you give it a feed with liquid plant food once per month throughout spring and summer.

    Did you know?

The genus name Aglaonema stems from the Greek words ‘aglos’ meaning bright and ‘nema’ meaning thread. How fitting.
