Taylor prefers damp soil but doesn’t like to feel soggy. Give her a drink if the top of her soil begins to feel dry.
She’ll be happiest in a room with lots of bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunshine, as this can cause her leaves to lose their colour.

Calathea ‘surprise stars’ have pretty, painterly leaves, with vibrant pink edges that look like they’ve been applied with a brush. The underside is a deep purple, adding to their colourful appeal. They’re one of the prettiest plants in the calathea family.
