They have their own ecosystem. If you cannot see condensation on the glass of the terrarium after a week or so, give it a bit of distilled water to get the process going.
They need a little light - just make sure they're not in direct sunlight.

Perfect for the black-thumbed gardener, our closed terrarium requires virtually zero maintenance. This mini-ecosystem takes care of itself by releasing a water vapour through the soil that collects on its glass walls. The condensation then drips back onto the plant, keeping it nourished and happy! It's important to open the lid every week or so for a few hours to allow ventilation. Also, if you cannot see condensation on the glass of the terrarium, perhaps it's time to give it a bit of distilled water to get the process going.
The only thing our terrarium needs is a little light - just make sure they're not in direct sunlight, otherwise their little home will turn into a sauna.
